BY DEVON VALDERAS
You are the worst mind of your generation.
I’ve seen you strip mine the souls of mind-stripped moms at soccer malls.
Seen you search for high thread count to soften your conscience.
I’ve seen you market slash- and-burn burgers, seen you ignore mad cows who didn’t
Ask to be cannibals. I’ve seen you cut down old growth in old countries on old land Making it all wrinkle-free.
You are an annoying, ozone-depleting, botox-loving bozo.
I’ve seen your adipose spread across high-deaf screens, seen you scramble the
Minds of green eggs and hammers—you hater of green—because it’s alive.
I’ve seen you pretend to read about goats to kindergarten kids
While people died so you could create weapons of mass reconstruction
And isn’t in Iran-ic that you made a wreck of Iraq, yet you run from Kyoto
While the sun sets hard on botox lips, while trees and everyone else need surgeons to Repair this emotional runoff.
You are not very nice.
