Unadulterated

Summer nights, ring of fire

Staunchly build my arresting ire

Give an inch, take a mile

Breathe me, all that I defile

My pain for your cries

Give it time

I’ll see you soon,

When water floods the moon

Iron into sword,

Two fates so slightly moored.

I gave you my life,

You gave me your lies!

Winter’s past, summer’s dear

Quiet me, no need for fear

Pay attention. Listen!

Do you hear, it’s a prison.

Now what matters most is

true

Find me, I won’t destroy

you.

For once, I now stand

tall

Deny me? I’ll see you

fall
