Poetry

encapsulating

if i could paint a moment in time,

i’d take a clouded paintbrush.

dip bristles in beaming beauty,

caress your face carefully.

brush my hand gently

to paint the pinks of your cheeks,

the butterflied brightness of your eyes,

the honey of your smile.

the radiant wisps

falling against your skin.
